The world is 7000 years old and is ruled by one old bearded guy who lives in the sky who is also omnipotent, omniscient and who, in his free time, decided to write a big book to tell people how mean he's been so far.
Also dinosaurs fossils are there to test our faith and so what if you're a murderer and child molester? Just ask for forgiveness and the gates of 'heaven' shall be open. :)
@Aalap: I don't believe any of that by the way! (what you said) My take on "belief" is very different. It would require conversation. Who's to say God isn't a woman? As for simply asking for forgiveness without feeling true remorse.. thats naive! (who are we to judge anyway)
But, my main point. Atheism: Believing in nothing, is believing nonetheless!
